In 1911, this scenic route which ran the length of Lookout Mountain from Chattanooga, Tennessee to Gadsden, Alabama was known as the T.A.G. Rail Line. Sometime between 1930 and 1951, the T.A.G. Rail Line discontinued passenger service and operated a small gasoline motor car, the "Scooter," to haul passengers and mail. Auction Site: On location at 720 County Road 365, Leesburg, AL 35983

 

Directions to Auction Site: From Leesburg at the intersection of AL Hwy 68 and US Hwy 411, take AL Hwy 68 toward Collinsville for 1 mile to AL Hwy 273 and turn right, go 3.6 miles to County Road 365 (Yellow Creek Falls Fish Camp) and turn left, County Road 365 dead ends to the property. Auction signs are posted.

 

Preview: Preview property at any time. You may also contact our office to have an auction representative meet you at the property.

 

Registration: Registration begins 1 hour prior to auction start time. All interested persons must register to bid prior to bidding.

 

Terms:  There is a 10% Buyer’s Premium on the Real Estate that will be added to Purchaser’s bid to arrive at the final bid price. The ten percent (10%) Buyer's Premium is due on day of auction for the Real Estate and will serve as the deposit. The deposit will be held in escrow until closing. Balance due at closing. Closing will be held on or before September 4th, 2018. This sale is not contingent on a potential buyer’s ability to obtain financing.

 

Owner financing is available with 30% down (10% due on day of auction and the other 20% due at closing within 30 days) the remaining balance will be financed at a rate of 8% for 10 years (120 months).

 

All property is being sold "AS IS" without any warranties, guarantees, or promises.

Restrictions:  Any shoreline development on any lot must obtain approval by the Alabama Power Shoreline Management office. 

 

Survey/Development Fee: A $600 per lot survey/development fee is due and payable by the purchaser on the day of the auction.
