We are honored to offer at public auction the "Mayor" Edward Mackey Estate. Mr. Mackey was elected as mayor of Leesburg for multiple terms. He was a lifelong resident of Leesburg. The property is located on what was once considered Mackey, Alabama. With much history this beautiful property sits on the corner of Keener Drive and Mackey Street.

The home consists of three bedrooms, two full baths (One with a walk-in tub/shower with quick drain, whirlpool, lights, and air spa), a large living room, a bonus room, a utility room, and a foyer all on the main floor. In the full basement is a great room with a fireplace, a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, and storage rooms. The home has natural gas, public water, and a tankless water heater.

The home has a covered front entrance, screened back porch, and a double carport. The home has an above ground pool with a large deck surrounding it. The home tract consists of 1 +/- acre and starts at the corner of Keener Drive and Mackey Street. It has good branch frontage.

The tri-level barn started as a mule barn over 100 years ago. It has been maintained and added to over the years bringing it to its current state. It has served the Mackey family for both recreational and employment purposes over the years and was home to the family wood- working business for many years. It is equipped with 3 phase power. The barn tract consists of 2.11 +/- acres and has frontage on Mackey Street. It also has frontage on the branch.

The 3.24 +/- acre tract is mainly open with some trees at the branch. It has over 330 ft. of branch frontage and 581 +/- ft. of road frontage on Mackey Street and gently rolls from the road to the branch.

The beautiful 4.86 acre tract is mainly flat land and has over 360 ft. on Keener Drive and the West property line is the centerline of the branch. It is mostly open and makes a great hay field.

This property is ideally located and sits at the foot of Lookout Mountain and is only minutes from beautiful Weiss Lake (The Crappie Capital of the World). It less than two minutes from either US Hwy 411 or AL Hwy 68.

After the real estate we will sell the personal property items. Personal property items include a large J. Baum safe, an antique corn sheller, a custom made children's table with 6 chairs (made in the family wood shop), items from the original Mackey store, tools, tool boxes, and more.

We will also be selling the remaining wood working machinery, plus lumber boards and pieces including, oak, black walnut, cherry, mahogany, pine, and other woods used in the shop.
